A useful summary of what there is to see and do and accommodation in the Dordogne and Lot, with two tone and line maps a few colour pics at the front and some colour and black and white in the book. Full of detail as the Rough Guide always is. Easy to find one's way around the book. Hope travelling in the area will be the same! Would recommend this.

As with all the rough guides we have used it was spot on and helped us decide exactly what we wnted to do. It was particulary useful for where to eat from a posh evening out as a couple to a good value family meal. We also used the DK book of the area but we always ended up using the rough guide!

This is an excellent travel guide which goes into a lot of detail about villages and towns of the Dordogne. The service was, as ever, very quick and it arrived before I made a trip out there.

There are myriad internet resources for traveling in the Dordogne. However, most of them are commercial, aimed at getting you to spend time and money in various spots, mostly vineyards. Or they are local sites, which are not so helpful or sophisticated. So, there is still a need for an actual travel guide, book form, covering the whole area, giving you a good idea of distances and routes and lots of background information. this is it.

It is a good touristic book but it needs more map, more pictures as well.
it is not so easy to have an idea of what you are going to see unless you work with your computer first.
It is well described anyway and give the points you can't miss.
Usefull.

I travel extensively and have tried so many guide books. But the Rough Guides series really work for me. Always honest with lots of tips from the locals. My absolute first choice.
