Having only just discovered the real advantage of digital photography I was very pleased to have been recommended this super book. It covered all types of cameras and then fully explains the many ways to deal with you results. A truly helpful reference not to be without and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

When I read the title, I was a little but nervous what to expect as I'm not a big fan of the "Rough Guide" travel series. However, this book is a nice little guide on digital photography which describes various aspects of photography concisely. The book runs through various camera types, composition rules, photo editing software and websites and although none of it is very detailed, it might still give the beginning photographer some new ideas.

Excellent Beginners Guide

Having read the first couple of chapters, I must say the book seems to be an excellent guide for those new to digital photography. The language is not overly technical and the book's format is very user friendly. Being a British publication, prices are shown in pounds with US dollars in parenthesis. It took me about 2 seconds to get used to this, and then I just thought it was kind of fun. The book probably rates 4 stars; I gave it five in an effort to offset the review that gave it only one because it wasn't available in digital form.

Seriously? You wrote a book on digital photography and it is only available in print form? Any new book should be available digitally.
