Lonely Planet combines the Czech and Slovak Republics in one short guide. Frommer's and Fodor's offer guides to Prague with some "highlights" of the rest of the country. Till recently Rough Guides did as Lonely Planet. Now they decided to print an expanded guide to the Czech republic itself. And this was a fantastic idea. It has lots more information on places other then Prague and gives justice to the fantsatic country. Cause the Czech Republic is not only Prague. Ceske Budejovice, home of the original Budweiser & Plzen, home of the original "pilzner" beer are great destinations not only for beer lovers. Zlin and Moravia as well as Ostrava and the Czech Silesia are nice out of the way places, that may not have the old buildings of Prague, but have plenty intersting things to see and a nice atmosphere. If you are going to Czechia, then this is your guide of choice! Though it may be the runner up if Bradt finally does an exstensive update of it's Czech Republic (last pulished 3 years ago).
