Fast Paced Thriller 14 Feb 2011
By Gareth Wilson - Falcata Times Blog TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Paperback
I love a great mystery, one that gives you puzzles that intrigue as well as befuddle, mix a bit of hidden sects and wraps it up with great characters as well as life and death situations. That's exactly what you get in this, the second thriller by Jon Trace and one that demonstrates what a cracking author he is with a great sense of pace. The book has great action sequences, has wonderful emotional context and when wrapped up at its conclusion with a twist that will leave the reader wondering what exactly he has in store next for the stories two principle characters. All in a fun read and one that whilst taking a good few hours to complete felt that it just rushed by.

This was actually the first book by Jon Trace I read. I was very pleased how quickly the story takes off and how easily one gets acquainted with the characters. However, I have to admit that the relationship between Morassi and Tom a wee bit too much linked to the "The Venice Conspiracy", the previous book by Ton Trace, especially in the beginning. And if one has not read this bokk... well, you see the problem. But besides that is is fine thriller which does not bore one for a sec. I enjoyed it very much!

Very good. 16 April 2011
Format:Paperback
Jon Trace's second book is another fast-paced historical thriller.

Tom Shamen is back and finds himself wrapped up in another murder / mystery, with ancient cults and prophecies setting the theme.

Interesting characters, fast action and with a fascinating plot, Jon Trace has successfully managed to maintain the high standard his previous book reached. Fans of Dan Brown, Scott Mariani, James Rollins and Andy McDermott should enjoy this.

Awful
They say you should never judge a book by it's cover and unfortunately, in this case, the cover fools you into thinking this will be an exciting read. Read more

Acceptable As A Thriller But Not Amazing
I normally love this type of book and have read all of Dan Brown's, and most of his pretenders to the throne, books too. I found this one somewhat lacking though. Read more

Says on tin
To buy this book and then give it a bad review, would be a little bit like going to see American Pie 4 and complaining that it was juvenile. Read more
