Hello to all fellow users of this site, today is the 26/1/04 and I purchased this CD yesterday, having researched it online, and also having watched Joshua totally spellbound on Classic FM TV.
I first came to know of Joshua from a beaufiful film called "Music of the Heart", where courtesy of Sony Music he made a guest appearance for the Grande Finale !!
For me he is one of the greatest Fiddlers you can ever have the extreme pleasure of listening to.........and this CD is totally in keeping with that claim. For my sins I drive each day in and out of London to my office, and today was the first day I have had the pleasure of driving there completely carefree, not stressed!
I so adore the way that he has chosen and added his own influences to many many pieces on this CD, what a beautiful experience it has been, I couldn't get out of my car this morning I just had to carry on listening and enjoying the sublime pleasure of listening to him and the pieces so carefully and thoughtfully selected on this Romance of the Violins spectacular ........Enjoy everyone .

I saw Joshua Bell on Classic FM on tv and realised that I was missing out by not having seen him before. I purchased this CD and its the best amongst my collection. I cannot stop playing it and it does certainly have a very serene feel to it. He makes the violin sing. I'd never heard O Mio Babbino Caro without a vocal. It was an absolute treat. I will be adding more of Mr. Bell to my CD's.

Mixture of the sublime and the ridiculous!
