If you work out regularly and need a little inspiration then grab yourself a walkman and look no further than this. It may sound cheesy and you may get some stick off your mates but try listening to the usual bland stuff played on the gym music system then try using this album on headphones. I defy you to deny it motivates you. Also amazing for jogging, particularly after about 25 minutes or so when you begin to tire and 'The Rocky theme' starts. Classic.

All the other reviews are so right - this really is one of the most uplifting, motivational and inspiring soundtracks ever! From the moment you press play and hear that unmistakable guitar intro to Eye of the Tiger the hairs stand up on the back of your neck and you can feel the blood pumping through your entire body - you feel so ALIVE!
I own all the previous albums on tape so to have a 'best of' compiled on a single cd is a dream come true. Every track packs a real punch and if you listen to it while training, then boy, are you in for a surprise - you'll be lifting weights and running at speeds that would make Sly jealous!
It's also one of those rare cd's that you can put on and relax in the knowledge that you will love every track and not have to worry about skipping any or programming in only the good ones - because they're all great!
Although saying that, i'll warn you now - i guarantee you'll find yourself skipping to track 4 first, everytime - and then starting it from the beginning of the cd (so that way you get to hear track 4 again!! (Incidentally, there's another great Robert Tepper track on the Cobra soundtrack.))
Some may scoff but if this is not part of your record collection then just sell your hi-fi right now. Gonna Fly Now is worth the price of admission on its own but you're not just owning one of the most iconic pieces of music in film history, you also get some other cracking tunes. Don't throw in the towel, get hold of a copy now!

This is a great compilation soundtrack featuring songs from Rocky I to IV but with one drawback: it's too short! With only 9 tracks totalling just 39 minutes, there are plenty of other songs from the Rocky films that deserve to be on here. Buy it, listen to it, make contorted faces and re-enact action scenes in slow-mo but then you’ll have to play it over again to get a decent Rocky hit! Oh well, at least we’ve been spared any tracks from Rock V!

This is the greatest, amazing, brilliant, fantastic, wonderful CD of all time. I features tracks from Rocky 1, 2, 3, and 4 but there are none from Rocky 5, probably because there were not really any outstanding music moments in that film.
One of the great things about this CD, is that unlike others of its kind, all the songs are performed by the original artists which is great because if some other person was singing them, it wouln't seem like they had come from the 'Rocky' movies. My personal favourite track has to be 'Eye Of The Tiger' (Survivor), and my second is 'No Easy Way Out' (Robert Tepper).
Also, if you are someone who goes down to a gym or does some kind of sport or training, then this CD is brilliant in that the tracks are really uplifting and motivational.
If you are a fan of the Rocky movies (like me), then this is a must-have CD. If you are not a fan of the Rocky movies then still get this because its a great CD to put on when you are feeling a bit low or down-in-the-dumps.

The Rocky Series, great...inspirational....moving....touching. The films were breathtaking. However, what helped make the film so good was the music. The soundtrack to the film was wonderfull and to watch Rocky train to Hearts on Fire just makes you want to lift up weights dont it!? Well, i found this album to be an excellent addition to these films. If you need a lift or motivation to drive you on, its such a great idea to put this cd on and cheer you up. I love this cd and thought it was an excellent purchase.

Most peoples favourate rocky film is the number four, in my opinion thats mostly due to its terific soundtrack, I have bought both this and the rocky four cd. On this one it tells the story of rocky in soundtrack formation from the very first hit rocky song that everyone sings when mentioning rocky, (gonna fly now), through the greats such as eye of the tiger and burning heart!!
If your a rocky fan and do not have a copy of this or the rocky four soundtrack, then you need to invest.
Both portray rocky in a superb compilation of tracks!!!

Well what can I say. This has all of the classics of rocky on one CD. Amazing if you liked the movie. All the best songs from the movies are on this CD. This means that you could listen to all of the songs without skipping the crap ones. I know I can. Overall an excellent compilation. I would encourage anyone to buy this.
