Review

'A gripping, epic saga from beginning to end and had me flying through the pages to the breathtaking climax. This is an astounding book and one that sees Quigley change up a gear and press her foot firmly on the throttle.' Chris Simmons, crimesquad.com 'The Road To Hell is a blazing addition to Quigley's Seahills EstateA" series. Gritty, violent and tense... definitely her best yet.' Matt Hilton, 'Dead Men's Dust' and 'Judgement and Wrath'

Product Description

When a woman's body is found mutilated in a field outside of Houghton-le-Spring it's more than just another case for DI Lorraine Hunt. Not only does the body show evidence of violation and human bites, it also transpires that Lorraine knows the victim. But she also knows that this is an exact replica of a crime that occurred many years ago, on an evening that changed her and her friends' lives forever ...and the nightmare has resurfaced to haunt her. Murder, mystery and suspense in Houghton-le-Spring as DI Lorraine Hunt is back for Sheila's most eagerly-anticipated novel. "The Road To Hell" gives insight and back story to established characters and is the latest story in the "Seahills Series".

sheila quigley's seahills estate books are brilliant. the characters are people, i feel, i could meet in my own local. once again her book was really good and i was a little sad when i reached the last page. her characters all reach out of the pages to you and i give each person a face, and often think about them in the real world. cannot wait for her next book, so come on sheila get writing, please!!!

The Road to Hell 26 Oct 2010
By Wordy
Format:Paperback
This book is not the best Sheila Quigley has written, although it was readable. For me, this was not the usual page turner and sadly, it did not keep me gripped and 'on the edge of my seat'.

I was appalled at the amount of typographical errors, but more so with the fact that one of the characters surname was spelt 3 different ways - hmmm...
