Okay this is my first review, but i feel this album needs the publicity. It kinda sneaked out, and i feel everyone needs to have this album its simply fantastic. Obivously big LP fans like myself knew about this album, But its Hip Hop/Rap, so non LP fans dont be put off. Its nothing like LP...its different in so many levels yet still outstanding and very intelligent.A few tracks stand out, although there really isnt a bad track.Stand out tracks include "Right Now", and "High Road", which features John Legend. Lastly the best track on the album in my opinion was "where'd you go" I could name more but id end up naming them all.I think this album could either be huge (if it gets noticed) or it could slip away unnoticed due to lack of people knowing what it is Where is the marketing and stuff? I really hope its the former as its simply brilliant.Jay Z is Exec producer, and all i can say is its a must buy for Hip Hop and Rap fans.Cant praise it enough....6 stars!!

I think this is going to become a classic album, like things fall apart by the roots and the score by the fugees. Mike Shinoda and his Fort Minor crew have raised the bar for concious hip hop with this and music like this is needed, there is not enough intelligence in music today. The track Kenji made me cry, it is so raw with emotion and it touches on a piece of history that is largely ignored.
I admit I am a Linkin Park fan but me liking Mike Shinoda's previous music has nothing to do with loving this album. He is incredibly talented, the music industry needs more people like him, willing to cross genre and do it well.
If you are considering getting this album, please do, we need to support real talent and good music.

When i bought this i had no idea what it would sound like, and i found it really enjoyable.

Im not a big fan of rap, but this combines it with funky beats and a great electronic sound.

And at the price, its definatley worth buying

Picked this up for a brilliant price (about a fiver) in absolute mint condition. I'm not even a fan of rap but this album is phenomenal! Mike is an outstanding rapper and because I'm a bit of a Linkin Park completionist I just had to buy this album, this version is worth it for the bonus tracks which are very good

Many thought that incorporating rap (through Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn) into Linkin Park was a bad idea. They were wrong.

Other thought that combining this type of metal with the stylings of Jay-z just wouldn't work. This wasn't true.

So, what came next for Shinoda? Between the record with Jay-Z and Linkin Park's inevitably successful next album come Fort Minor. And the verdict? Simply Incredible.

With this new collaboration of Shinoda, Styles of Beyond and Ryu, comes one of the records of the year. With guest appearances from Joe Hahn and Celph titled, its a certain success. There are a number of different styles mixed into thisalbum, each as coplimenting as the next. Songs such as Petrified, Remember the Name, Believe Me and Slip Out the Back soon become memorable, and you question what kind of satisfaction you got from music before you listened to this masterpiece.
Anyone who is considering buying this album do it, you won't regret it.
