I bought this cd by accident, at a glance it looks like the original 'Rock Machine'.
However, whoever produced it cleverly inserted the word 'revola' into the early 70's sleeve artwork.
The bands featured on this album are virtually unheard of and to put it simply the whole thing is just a rip off, this is far below the behaviour and standards I expect from Amazon.
I did listen to the content of this cd and is was poor.
I really did not want to give this cd any star rating but to proceed with my criticism I had to.
I also realise that in my haste to buy the cd I actually wanted at a reasonable price I was caught by this cheap trick.............buyer beware.
PS: I would dearly like to return this cd but last time I tried to return something to the vendor I heard nothing more from them after they said they would give me a refund.

An excellent taster of classic English Psyche 1 Feb. 2008

This has the original Goodnight Sweet Josephine(which the Yardbirds recorded when Jimmy Page was with them)sung by the guy who wrote it along with many other classics of the swinging sixties. The unheard before Mortimer demos are excellent as well as The River by Octopus. Actually the whole things great if your into this sort of music. But the reason I got it is the absolutely greatest single of all time that never got released-Lights on the Wall by GUN. I just keep playing this over and over and over. It's that GREAT!
A Fine Collection 3 Oct. 2009
By Curt L. Schwebs - Published on Amazon.com

A solid collection of obscure tracks from bands and solo artists that never made it to the big time. Sound quality is very good pending source material. Stand-out tracks are the two Mortimer titles, one of which is exclusive to this collection; The Chrysalis track "Cynthia Jerome" (demo version, different from the officially released version on their album - also released by Rev-Ola); the Gun track "Lights on the Wall", a good piece of psychedelia; and the Jawbone track "Jeremiah Dreams" another slice of psychedelia. All in all a good listen for fans of collectable obscurity.
A handful of listenable songs at best 29 Oct. 2012
By Miklblike Bosco - Published on Amazon.com

Three or four very listenable second-rate songs, a couple more somewhat cool-sounding third-rate songs, and the rest merely grate on your ears. This set doesn't have one song that, for me, redeemed the purchase price (and I paid about $5 including shipping). Woulda rather had the 5 bucks in my pocket.
