Product Description

The Reunion. In previous books in the Marketplace series, readers have gone behind the scenes at a slave auction, an owner's home, a trainer's house, and even the ephemeral world of the annual trainers' Academy. In "The Reunion" we visit a vacation resort for a Marketplace "family" gathering, where slaves, former slaves, trainers, and their spouses, significant others and family members can relax, let their hair down, and connect with each other. But the "reunion" that matters most is that of Robin Cassidy (the slave from "The Slave") and her first trainer, Chris Parker (the trainer from "The Trainer").

Of course the vacation resort isn't just any resort, it's Kaleigh Castle, a centuries-old Irish castle that is now a luxury hotel and happens to be where Chris learned many of the skills and practices that have made him so sought-after in the Marketplace. And while everyone enjoys their two most favorite indoor sports--gossip and sex--trouble is afoot. A nosy tabloid reporter thinks he's onto something: a real-life international slave trading ring. Can Chris keep the world from learning the truth about The Marketplace, but accept the truth about his feelings regarding Robin, Anderson, and Jiro at the same time?

About the author: Laura Antoniou is the award-winning author of The Marketplace Series, The Killer Wore Leather, The Catalyst, and other works of BDSM and alternative sexuality, as well as the editor of Leatherwomen and No Safewords: Tales from the Marketplace. 5.0 out of 5 stars YES, YES, YES, YES, YES! 22 Oct 2013
By Nicholas A. Cimato - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I have been waiting for this for a year. Though The Academy is my favorite of the series, likely because it was my introduction to The Marketplace, it is The Reunion which brought so many of the pieces together and yet leaves me wanting more. What will happen with Robin? What is next for Chris? How 'bout that Cowboy? Will I meet them again, I sure hope so. Laura Antoniou has created a world and characters that are real, when reading the book I hear Dalton in my head, I see Chandra elegantly floating into the room, I feel Mackenzie's shame, the flush on her cheeks and for the next 12 hours I am lost in a world of Trainers and Slaves and the people who make their lives possible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Series Favorite! 23 Oct 2013
By Seeker - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
A continuation and standalone novel in The Marketplace Series by Laura Antoniou. The Reunion takes us back into the world of the Marketplace with beloved and well known characters and introduces us to new characters. We are given a peek behind the curtain in The Reunion.

Within the extreme D/s world of The Marketplace everyday, yesterday, and today's issues are lived by current and former members of the Marketplace - family, abuse, culture shock. The most fun about The Reunion is learning right along with the other characters about their world. Why? Because the Marketplace Series pulls you up to the large glass windows but it's not until The Reunion that you begin to feel like maybe...just maybe... you are not completely an outsider looking in.

The questions of why? what about? All too often met with you wouldn't understand. The Reunion delves deeper into the Marketplace than we have ever gone and leaves us salivating for more! Even the bad guys are interesting! More than a keeper, the Reunion is a RE-READer.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Favorite 22 Oct 2013
By becca - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This is my favorite of the Marketplace Series books. Set in the lush and regimented world of Kaleigh Castle, familiar characters and new faces intermingle. This story shows us sides of the Marketplace we weren't privy to in previous books-- life after slavery, families with children, the role of the press, and so many other intriguing little details. This is the longest book in the series, but in all honesty, I wanted it to be even longer. I wanted to stay in the world of Kaleigh Castle for as long as possible-- the magical "behind the scenes" views, the livery, the intense hierarchy, the rules, and even the secret passage ways all contribute to making the setting as robust as the characters themselves. Of course, the presence of bootblacking and gender bending slaves also added to my love of the novel. Again, it's my favorite for many reasons, but of all the worlds Laura has introduced us to through this series, Kaleigh is my favorite.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot Fiction for Intelligent Pervs 22 Oct 2013
By Slade - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
If you do not want to turn off your brain to turn on your libido; if you love the idea of a BDSM world that could really exist, GET THIS BOOK. Get the whole series.

I love all of these books. They illustrate a fantasy world that understands the honor of service, the Truth of a whole segment of the population who have deep needs to serve as Masters or as Slaves and they illustrate it with elegance and complete hotness. I want to live in the world between these covers.

This series takes the flavor of the protocols and ethics of the Old Guard and weaves it into hot, smart fiction with ethical dilemmas and interesting plots. This is (believe it or not!) wholesome food for the X-rated tastes of responsible adults who like SM.

I love all these characters. As usual with one of this series, I read the whole thing in one sitting. Now I can relax and re-read slowly, savoring. LOVE it! More, please!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved The Reunion. It was my second favorite of the series. 22 Oct 2013
By Elan Jane Litt - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I have been reading and rereading the series since they first came out (no pun intended). And I have anxiously awaited each and every new book. Actually, now I usually only listen to audio books, but I still actually reread this series. They are the only ones that I do. Thank goodness The Marketplace is now out as an audio book.

The Reunion is my second favorite of the series. But it is only a few points behind The Academy. That is my favorite. But we're not reviewing the Academy, we're reviewing The Reunion. Learning about all the different types of people who have come and gone from the Marketplace has been fascinating and learning of Chris's early training was the best.

I only wish that there is a sixth book in the series, but I guess that is not in the near future if at all.
