A definitive Compilation 4 Dec 2007
By Christopher Bergevin - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Wever certainly has his own style/approaches to auditory science. Some results may be questionable (e.g. how well does an extracellular response correlate to actual auditory thresholds, particularly in lizards where hair cell bundle orientation is bi-directional?), tough are fairly intuitive and thus appropiate for those new to the field.

That said, the shear amount of quantitative anatomical details presented in this book is astounding. A work of art. Depending upon your purposes/interests, this book has the potential to be a great fit for your bookshelf (especially considering how hard it may be to track down a lot of the original papers). Consider it a companion to Bekesy's Experiments in Hearing.
