I really like this EP, it's a grower and is pretty avant garde in places, I've not heard anyone else making sounds and noises like this and crafting them together in to a EP that sounds so good.
The only thing I'm not too keen on is the sound of the rattling phlegm in Mark E Smith's voice, it sounds like he needs to cough up a huge 'Dockers Omelette' and can be a little bit nauseating but mercifully it's not all the time.
The music is excellent as are all the new releases by this particular line up of The Fall, they really are a great band and I'm looking forward to checking them out live at some point in the near future.
So if you're a Fall fan then you already have this, if your not then try it out and you may find you like them more than you thought you would.
I wish there was a bit more effort with the artwork/inserts, these Cherry Red CD releases just have a single sheet of paper, at the very least a 4 page insert or even an 8 page booklet would be nice, but it's the music that matters most of course and there are no problems with that.
