This was only downloaded as it was a freebie - and as I hadn't clocked that it was connected to the disappointing Outlaw Scot and The Stolen Bride. That one was barely worth it - as was this one.

The blurb pretty much tells you all, but should read as follows:

Now fully grown, **NOT** even an immediate attraction to one another can sway the two to look past their differences.

Not a great start to what wasn't a great tale - the guy spent more time in the first three pages grooming his horse and saying goodbye to it than he did with the female lead. And neither of them wanted to marry each other, but then she experiences a traumatic reaction to a tragedy, and he then proposes that he marries her off, and she decides that for once, she will take her future into her own hands - and seduces him. Cue marriage and end of tale.

The cover of this book lead me to believe it was going to be a sexy read, how wrong was I. The book was boring. Sorry!!

This book was marginally better than the first one - and I only gave this one a try because it was temporarily free to download. I certainly wouldn't pay for it.

The plot is a little bit better, but isn't exactly deep and meaningful. Again, as with the first of this series, this book has the feeling of a padded-out draft of a much longer and meaningful novel.

If you're after a 15 minute read to take your mind off the train commute to work, then this is all right. If you're after a well structured plot and 3D characters, then you need to be looking elsewhere.
