i read this book in the summer of '97. i wish i had read it more slowly, as i finished it in a month! Linocln and preston have produced a most brilliant story, the characters are so real, you can see them. the action and scares are like that of a movie;you can't see it yet, then you can! it is a ride that any reader interesed in horror should take. the chracter of Pendergast was beautifully potrayed. Whilst reading it , Pendergast was visualised as Donald Sutherland, jeez, it was becoming a movie in my head that i did not want to stop watching! When the ride was over, so was the summer and the shear volociety of the read was unmatched to this day. maximun respect to Lincoln and to Preston, i want to see more!!!!
