I bought this book to be able to cope with stress situations that generated lot of somatic problems including the sudden rise of blood pressure. I found the help quite good, easy to follow, and directly to the point. In Chapter 1 you will find immediately the many causes of stress and a direct help on how to use the Workbook: depending on your symptoms a Table will show you which Chapters you should read. Each Chapter deals with one particular method, so that you know which methods are the most specific for your case. Each Chapter has a selected bibliography, so that if one Method is good for you, you can buy another book to go deeper in that method.
The only critic I have to point out is the following. There are 2 chapters written by external contributors (not the authors mentioned in the Front Cover); those Chapters are Nutrition (Chapter 19) and Exercise (Chapter 20). I found those chapters not so well adapted to the rest of the book. For example it is known that weight lifting is not recommended for high blood pressure, but in the chapter on exercise weight lifting is given as a possible exercise without mentioning if it could be bad for any particular problem. Concerning the chapter on Nutrition a similar problem arises. Good hints are given, but no particular categorization as to which type of diet to follow for a particular problem. Albeit of these critics, I do not wish to give less than 5 stars to this book, because it is an excellent tool and help, recommended to anyone suffering from stress related problems.
