I really struggled to wade through this one, after being thrilled by "Dead Headers" more than a decade ago, this one left me positively underwhelmed. It's a typical "only one man can save the day" storyline, but at no point is there any explanation as to WHY he's the only one who can save the day. He just happens to be the one who's there at the time. The plot stretches credibility a bit far - which is acceptable in a thriller - but so do the characters, who despite being thinly fleshed out are still obviously behaving contrary to how you'd expect, given the little you find out about them. If the author had made it less difficult to read, all of the above could have been forgiven, but to battle through the curt, unnecessarily complex prose structure and be left with nothing to show for it, was very disappointing.
