An Evoluent product. The RIGHT HANDED Evoluent VerticalMouse 2 has a patented shape that supports your hand in a relaxed handshake position, and eliminates the arm twisting required by ordinary mice. The mouse also remains steady when you press the buttons because the thumb naturally opposes the finger movements. The stylish appearance and soft grip design includes five programmable buttons with scroll wheel. Available in both right and left-handed versions.

Having bought the V2 (purple right handed) version of this mouse in the USA about two years ago I can honestly say it has made a difference to my wrist pain. The software installs without getting in the way of any other mouse you have installed - something Logitech seem incapable of doing - so I can use a really quick Microsoft mouse for gaming and the Evoluent for general work. There are two drawbacks to this mouse, cost and cables.
You can reduce the cost of the mouse by buying from Amazon US (as I did) and having it shipped to the UK. Remember that if you buy it for medical reasons then you should not pay import tax. If you have it shipped to a company address then the chance you will pay tax is even less likely. Even with the cost of shipping from The States it should still be much cheaper.

The second drawback is the lack of a wireless option. When Evoluent produce a wireless version I will be first to buy it. I have since tried a friend's v3 and can say it is more comfortable as a small change to the design means your little finger does not have a chance to drag on the table - something that can happen on the v2 until you get used to it. Still no wireless though.
