1.0 out of 5 stars Is this a joke book?????? 8 Nov. 2012

I am not sure when I last read a more bigoted book. Maybe I got it total wrong and this is a joke book. I was in Costa Rica this summer and apart from the weather and San Jose being a bit of a dump it is a fantastic country that is just as developed as America. I think the author needs to realise that being different does not equate to less developed or poor!

1.0 out of 5 stars Book has nothing to do with description 10 Nov. 2012

This book is exactly what the title says it's about, Costa Rica. The book description is a long article about blogging, and that was the reason I bought it. But again, it has nothing at all to do with blogging.
1.0 out of 5 stars Seriously? 2 Mar. 2013

What is this book about? Unbearable heat? Unbearable cold?, Rain throughout Jan to March? Seriously, has the writer visited Costa Rica? It doesn't seem like it... The weather is awesome and yes from time to time there's rain October-November or so but from Jan to March never, its summer! If you want to learn about the "ugly" side of Costa Rica, read something else or ask around, but don't trust this "book"!
1.0 out of 5 stars Racist 3 Feb. 2013

Poorly researched collection of racist, myopic opinions about life in Costa Rica. Look for fascinating facts like "10% of the population manage to speak English." This author obviously has no respect for the culture and history of this country and has no business writing a book! One can only hope, if she's living outside the US, that she's since developed some compassion for people who don't live like her.

Pretty hard to believe anything in this book when the author can not get the name of the country correct! It's COSTA RICA not COSTA RICO and is NOT an island. Glad I got my copy free or it would have been returned.
