I love the wide variety of Quorn products available but never really have any original ideas about how to use them in my cooking. My efforts normally culminate in adding the chicken-style pieces to stir fries or frying the sausages for breakfast (not exactly haute cuisine!) So I was very pleased to see the makers of Quorn publish their own cookbook filled with loads of wonderful recipes for their most popular products, including chicken-style pieces, mince, fillets and others.
I purchased this book hoping that it will get me eating more Quorn products and it does its job perfectly. The book is divided into the following sections:
Simple sharing snacks
Scrumptious light bites
Super duper soups
Midweek winners
Comforting classics
Lazy weekend recipes
Foodwith friends
A taste of takeaway
Little chefs
The recipes include a little bit of everything to suit all tastes and preferences. There are classics such as toad in the hole, spaghetti bolognese, pasta carbonara, and steak, ale and mushroom pie; there are Italian dishes like risotto, lasagna, pizza; Asian specilaties like stir fries, curries, and noodles; salads, ciabattas, casseroles, moussaka, tagine, burgers, soups. Lots of variety and fantastic ideas for using more Quorn; the mouthwatering pictures and great layout are an additional bonus. Definitely recommend to all Quorn fans.
