This Quirky Travel journal, with plenty of room for observations and with thought-provoking quotes embellishing the pages to help you along the way, is the ideal companion for both travelers close to home and those who venture far and wide. About the Author

So who is the Quirky Traveller? Well, ZoA"'s a lover of all forms of travel - of the mind, body and spirit. Living and working in and around one of the most beautiful parts of the world, the Lake District, in the North West of England, ensures that she get a daily dose of all three. She's got Italian, Spanish, Irish, French and Scottish ancestors and has worked and travelled across the globe. Originally an English teacher, she escaped one day to go and discover her inner Mamma Mia in Greece, spending 4 happy and fun-filled years living in Athens and exploring the Greek Isles and surrounding area. She then worked in SE Asia for 4 years, during which time she travelled to many quirky and intriguing places including Nepal, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Borneo. In April 2010 she launched The Quirky Traveller to share with others her love of the majestic Lake District, Cumbria and beyond. With a quirky take on life and travel, she writes articles and blogs regularly for various travel organisations in the UK and around the world. Her TV & Radio programmes have been broadcasted to be heard far and wide and she gives talks on her travels both locally and nationally, aiming to be entertaining, informative and fun. ZoA" uses Twitter & Facebook regularly and in 2010 The Quirky Traveller was voted in the Top 10 Inspirational Travel Blogs (USA Got Saga) and is also in the Klout Top 50 Online Travel Influencers. She recently won the title Britain's Best Travel Blogger 2011 & is part of Visit Britain's Super Blog team. ZoA" has a truly original voice; she makes me laugh, makes me think and, most important, she gives me another way of looking at the world - A" Emmie Ross USA
