About the Author
So who is the Quirky Traveller? Well, ZoA"'s a lover of all forms of travel - of the mind, body and spirit. Living and working in and around one of the most beautiful parts of the world, the Lake District, in the North West of England, ensures that she get a daily dose of all three. She's got Italian, Spanish, Irish, French and Scottish ancestors and has worked and travelled across the globe. She then worked in SE Asia for 4 years, during which time she travelled to many quirky and intriguing places including Nepal, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Borneo. In April 2010 she launched The Quirky Traveller to share with others her love of the majestic Lake District, Cumbria and beyond. With a quirky take on life and travel, she writes articles and blogs regularly for various travel organisations in the UK and around the world. Her TV & Radio programmes have been broadcasted to be heard far and wide and she gives talks on her travels both locally and nationally, aiming to be entertaining, informative and fun.
