But her revenge goes dangerously awry, and she finds her world spiralling into a hell that becomes more terrifying by the hour.

In a further twist of fate, Lauren must take on a job that threatens everything she stands for. Now, she's paralysed by a deadly secret that could tear her life apart. 4.0 out of 5 stars Good popcorn 15 Aug 2007
By Clive
Format:Hardcover
I agree with many reviewers that Patterson is churning out many books assisted by Ghost writers, but what the heck! What we get is page turning tabloid/ candyfloss/ armchair thrillers..and to me that is the commercial types of reads that we want sometimes. The Quickie falls straight into this category. It's not as thrilling or as clever with twists like Deaver/Baldacci or Coben, but it's a tight story, if somewhat implausible (yes- fiction), and a whole lot of fun to read and enjoy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Middeling at best... 19 July 2007
Format:Hardcover
I read just about all of Patterson's books and have enjoyed most of them. This book, although a page turner, was not at all believable. It kept me interested, but I found myself rolling my eyes too many times. The characters are cardboard and the story line is a bit out there. If you want an entertaining, no brainer, summer read, this will suffice, but just barely.

1.0 out of 5 stars Far-fetched to the extreme 17 Oct 2007
Format:Hardcover
The fast-paced writing style is all James Patterson, however the plot is so far-fetched after 30 pages or so all belief in the characters is suspended. Really disappointing, try something else!
