This is my favorite book on Arthurian myth and legend. It has a well balanced interplay between the stories and the facts - always keeping alive their magical quality. The interconnectedness of these stories with the myths of other cultures is explored as is their relevance to us today. A wonderful book.

I love this book, as a King Arthur enthusiast this book is one of the best Arthur books I have, it has beautiful pictures and photographs in it, I love a book with pictures, and explores the King Arthur legend and possible history behind it and even the real Arthurs. It explores the legends and familiar characters in the Arthur legends and is easy to read and follow.

Lucid and readable 14 Jun. 2014
By Mae Stroshane - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I enjoyed this lucid, readable examination of the King Arthur legend set in historical context, and how it evolved from a historical 5th century warrior king to a romanticized tapestry of myth and song in a 1960s Broadway musical. The author demonstrates how King Arthur continues to shine as a figure of idealism and heroic striving for peace among nations and is truly the "Once and Future King."
