I did, having built up a large, multi skilled workforce, delivering what we perceived was excellent Customer Service. Then along came someone who had attended one of Tom Peters' seminars & immediatley identified that I was the epitome of what Mr P was advising them to avoid. He bought me a copy of this book and I read it, I laughed, I cried (when I thought just how smug and conceited I had become) and then I planned to change, and change we did.

Using just a few of the ideas but a lot of the thoughts, it is very simple to identify areas which you think you are good at, but really that is only from your own internal view point and not you customers.

If you manage people, BUY THIS and read it, if you manage managers BUY THEM IT too - it will be the best investment you will have made !!

This book is full of ideas and stories of applying interesting and creative surprises to business. I read this book and thought the ideas were simple, common sense and very effective. As I read it, I kept thinking "that is so simple", or "why don't we do that". I found the book very readable and very addictive. I read it on a flight to Phoenix and finished it on the same flight. I think the other passangers must have thought me mad, as I laughed at some of the ideas. This book is a "MUST READ" if you want to make your team better, happier and more professional. And make your company one that your customers want to deal with and you employees want to work for.

The Persuit of WOW 9 Feb 2010

I found this book to be an excellent read, full of fantastic little saying that mean a lot, IE "Change is a door that can only be opened from the inside" A very entertaining read, no big or long words that are hard to pronounce or understand, or jargon, straight to the point. Highly recommend
