Product Description

In the small town of Leyland, a group of thieves plan to pull off their final job and steal three million pounds from a bank. The job seems to be a success, until the alarm is tripped and the police surround the building. A standoff ensues, and the police try to negotiate a resolution before the thieves begin to kill their hostages.
Things take a strange turn, however, when an eerie purple mist renders everyone unconscious. When people begin to wake up, they find that they are among only a small few who haven’t been killed and mutilated by the mist. Then, the dead return to feed on the living, forcing the surviving police, thieves and hostages to band together in a bitter struggle for survival.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazed by the haze 8 May 2012

Firstly, let me say 'zombie' stories, aren't usually my thing. This came recommended to me, so i decided to give it a go. Truth be told, i'm glad i did. I decided to 'try before i buy', and used the 'sample' option. Needless to say, i was straight away buying the full version. I was hooked. The book was gripping, gory, action-packed. For anyone interested in 'zombie thrillers', this is the book for you. Even, if not, like me, give it a go. It is an easy to read book, which i found difficult to put down. To me, this is always the sign of a good book.

The author, for his first book, has done extremely well. I hope to read books in the future by this author, perhaps a sequel? I would have no hesitation in recommending this book to anybody. A good read. Well done.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very enjoyable 29 July 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I liked the characters very much and found the way that they dealt with their situation very real - the helplessness that you would naturally feel and the way that one particular character lost hope and just gave in. The heroes in these types of stories never just give in like you would when all hope seems to be gone and you say "okay, enough now. Just eat me and get it over with". Excellent story telling and I look forward to the next one

My only gripe would be the lack of a good editor. The grammar policewoman in me was crying out for someone to correct the numerous mistakes. I'd be happy to do it for free

I bought it on kindle for the bargain price of £1.91 and enjoyed it so much i bought a 'proper' copy of the book as well!
A love letter to classic zombie apocalypse stories influenced by 20 years of sci-fi watching.
I really enjoyed the fact its set in Leyland and Preston too!
well worth a look x

3.0 out of 5 stars Good story but let down by poor execution
Feel the need to write an actual review being as most of the 5 stars have only ever reviewed one book and all take the same tack which screams fake review. Read more
