very good indeed! 24 May 2005
Format:Hardcover
Sequels have always been my favourite types of books, and this one is excellent! With the resurrection of Pyrgus and Holly Blue's father, the Faeries of the Night seem poised to take over all the Realm - and who better to help save it than Henry Atherton?
While the book is very exciting from start to finish, the most hilarious chapters are those featuring Brimstone and Chalkhill, who, between them, completely steal the show. It was also nice to read a book in which one of the main characters makes a mistake so huge no-one can call that person anything other than an idiot, instead of them all being perfect all the time.
The only thing that annoyed me slightly was Henry's habit of getting into impossible situations because he was just not thinking - I thought he was supposed to be intelligent?
Nevertheless, I enjoyed this book immensely!
