Dedeaux wrote half a dozen or so remarkable erotic novels, all of them concentrating on the topic of erotic chastisement, principally of the F/F and M/F sub-section of the genre. He managed to make each of his books quite distinct, varying both scenarios and the relationships between the protagonists, a feat which seems quite difficult to achieve within the erotic genre as a whole. 'The Prussian Girls', which has also appeared (somewhat strangely) as 'The Prefect' or 'The Prefects' in the highly pseudonymous world of erotic literature, is set in a Prussian school for young ladies. It deals with the situation in the eighteenth century, when discipline was harsh, and (in this case) applicable to (female) teachers as well as to their vulnerable charges. Even the Directress of the establishment must occasionally submit. Cane and birch figure strongly in the story, which is a depiction of daily life at the establishment, which is visited occasionally by men from a nearby military establishment, who partake in punishments and also in more pleasurable activities. The chastisements may seem rather severe to many, but this is definitely a classic of the genre.
