The Prophet's daughter features Arin Lovelock, a young girl who lives in isolation with her parents, in a world where an infection wiped out most of the population. After her parents horrific murder, Arin goes on the run. With a few survival skills under her belt, Arin must navigate this strange world and try to figure out who she can trust, if anyone.
There are quite a few dystopian novels out there with teenage leads. This book was good though, as it drew me in from the first page. Getting straight into the action and putting Arin in peril shows us what she is like and how much she can handle. A great teen read.
