I bought this for my husband who is studying for an MA. He is fascinated by it and it has been a really though provoking read for him. Deanna Petherbridge has taken a unique look at drawing and the ways in which it is developing across the Western World. There are many high quality illustrations of beautiful drawings, both traditional and modern. This book was worth every penny paid for it but be warned it's a very sizeable book- probably not one to read when commuting!

If your practice is predominantly drawing - I reccommend this book. It appears to have taken most of her professional life to complete and is massive in it's ambition. A beautiful and inspiring book.
