This is only rap album in which I can listen to from start to finish without skipping tracks and then start again. I can't understand why this is isn't spoken more highly of-it is absolute gem of lyrical fluidity and emotion.I have seen it criticised for its darkness and anger but to me that's the beauty of it, if you want light hearted fun get some "De La Soul".
I consider this a must have for anybody into rap when it actually had something to say.

heard this around about the same time as gravediggaz's first offering and enjoyed this album greatly and still do even though i hate the new stuff (stuff by snoop, dre, m&m...etc etc...)...great songs, good oprah business in the middle, interesting take on some fairy tale characters and a huge bodycount.....well done mr. cube, now please stop........

Easily one of his top three solo releases, yet I feel it's missing a vital piece, the other four members of N.W.A. With tracks like "It was a good day" and "Check yo' self" he clearly shows his high attributes as a solo rap artist but as a knowladgeable rap fan, I still feel he was at his highest peak when N.W.A were setting the trend in the world of "Gangsta Rap". Yet, even with this slightly negative view, the C.D itself is still a must have rap classic.

Along with Amerikkkas Most Wanted and Death Certificate, this is Cube's third classic album. Packed full of great songs, from heavy beats on heck UR Self (Remix) to funny and inventive lines on Gangsters Fairytale 2 - this album is a must for Rap and Hip-Hop collections. Dare I say that in my opinion this album is better than Death Certificate. Although all three are worth having.

A masterpiece.I got this when i was 16-and it has lost none of its appeal. For being released in 1992 it doesnt sound old like a lot of rap albums from the 90's if you play then nowadays. There is not a better rapper than cube, and who besides ll cool j is still as good now as he was when he first came out?Buy this-and every other album by him!lol.Enjoy
