My brother gave me the 1963 Edition of the book in 1974 and from then on, it was no holds barred! I put it to work and immediately found the perfect apartment I had pictured in my mind. The concepts discussed are no more bizarre than telling someone from the 16th century that computers can talk, much less what a computer is! It is a book for the serious mind, the enquiring mind, the hungry mind. It forces you to recognize what it is you are doing wrong if not achieving your objectives, and how it is your thinking that has gotten you to where you now are in life. But the good news is that there is hope! Yes, you can change your life - totally - if you change your thinking and behaviour patterns. I have read many other books afer this one dealing with the same subject, but this one will always be my favorite. I recommend this book to anyone who is seriously considering a major rehaul!

Ok, 2 things: 1) I have a policy of not reviewing a book until I've employed the techniques and seen the results. 2) I bought this book a long time ago and immediately stopped reading it because I felt uncomforatble with the reference to God in a self-help book. I picked up the book recently - while I was looking for ways to improve my personal presence and influence. I was always sceptical but I thoughT, "what have I got to loose?" I have to say that in the 3 weeks that I've been using this technique I've been astonded at some of the events that have happened in my life.

I used the simple technique of constant repetition as my solution to my problem. Everyday for 3 weeks. I assumed that the effects would be internal and only noticable by me, but I noticed people reacting to me differently - they seemed to be observing me more and even staring for periods of time while I was just walking down the street!! Trust me I immediately dismissed it and thought it was in my mind, but this was very different. Since that phenomenon (the only fitting word for it), I've decided to read the book in full and learn the techniques properly.

To be honest I'm a little scared. Since trying the techniques there were some odd side effects - which is testimony to using the techniques properly and with positive feeling. But if the simple technique that I employed has worked so well (and I didn't even perform the techniques as well as I should have), I have no idea what the results will be when put into full effect.

To anyone looking for a REAL solution to changing their thinking, life and world internally and externally THIS IS THE BOOK!!

I have a library of books everything from Tony Buzan, Brian Tracy, Dan Kennedy, Napoleon Hill, Anthony Robbins, Maxwell Waltz and all the usual others...

...this is the only one I've written a review for...that should tell you something.

I first heard about this book when Celtic footballer Andreas Hinkel wrote online that it had a great effect on him.

What's it all about? Basically, it makes the case that the power to achieve your goals (be it health, wealth or anything else) is within each of us. Our subconscious mind contains unlimited power - if only we can harness it.

The book contains numerous anecdotes (e.g. of miracle recoveries, and zero to hero stories) and the author also provides advice and guidance as to how to tap into our inner reservoir of potential (I'll let you find these out for yourself).

If you read this book after having watched 'The Secret' or read the Abraham-Hicks books, then this book will make perfect sense to you. At the time of its original publication it must have sounded rather far out, however, the power of the subconscious mind is now more readily recognised and embraced by those interested in mind-body-and-spirit materials.

This is a classic book, though, and it was highly influential. Sometimes the contents seem rather dated now as the author often refers to religion and prayer, but the concept of manifestation through belief and faith is nevertheless still relevant regardless of your individual views on spirituality.
