Book Description

The Humans have destroyed 2,000 Alliance Warships and now they are taking the war to the worlds responsible for attempting to destroy Earth. The Alliance still has more than 48,000 Warships but the way things are going, they may not be enough. A new Queen has come to power and her impact on the struggle will be monumental.

The Annihilation Trilogy continues in the second book and the adventure intensifies as the forces arrayed against humanity are coming enmass. Hang on. The ride gets more intense.

Excerpt from Power of A Queen

“Warleader, we are in position.”
‘Start your acceleration now.”

Lt. Minishe said, “Sir the ten ships have turned and are accelerating toward our fort.”
“Attention all fortresses; this is Colonel Taz. We are going live weapons. Target the ships around our screen. Hold your fire until we eliminate the ten suicide ships. The four fortresses on this side of the planet are to target their zones. As the other forts rotate into position, move your zone with the rotation. I think they will run directly from the planet, but stay alert in case they try to run around it. We will fire in 30 seconds.”

The ten Vgrig ships were accelerating at their maximum speed and were 80 miles from the surface of the screen when a bright white light 5 miles wide erupted from the fortress and hit the ten ships. Nothing remained when it turned off.
“Holy Groad, what was that?” the Warleader said. Then he saw more than a hundred of those beams fire through his ships. “Get out of there!” he yelled into his com; but it was no use. His fleet was sitting still and it took a few moments to get under way. Those moments proved fatal when those beams moving at light speed hit his ships. Out of 800 ships hanging above the planet only 10 were able to start moving but they were hit before they could move out of range. Where those beams hit, nothing remained. “War leader, the screen has reduced to 87 degs thickness,” the sensor officer said, “and all of our ships have been blown out of existence.”

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing 27 Dec. 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I read the first book in the series and liked it sufficiently enough to buy the second in the series. I very much liked the idea of the human heroes being psychically gifted and the use of advanced alien technology to develop human technology. What ruined it for me, however, was the childish way the writer developed his characters and the way they interact. It seems that in this universe, the hero is ALWAYS right and everyone else is always wrong. Worse, everyone who disagrees with him is made to see in the most reasonable and logical of ways how wrong they have been. As a result, they are filled with remorse and from that point on they become his staunch supporters. On normal levels this is unlikely, however, the writer has applied this behaviour to both human and alien political and military leaders! In the end the sense of smug self righteousness that the hero exuded was just too much and I had to put the book down.

I red the first in this series and thought " this is a good read" and had to read the 2nd story ( it gets you that way) now I have to read the next! You can see where this is going. While not stretching the mind with " big words" . I for one really enjoyed them and will be finishing the saga.

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs to read more. 5 Sept. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I'm afraid I must agree with the previous reviewers. The plot is OK, basically, and quite imaginative but the writer has only a juvenile knowledge of people and human nature.
However, the author shows promise so I hope keeps on writing.
