Best recipe Book 4 Sep 2009
Format:Hardcover
Great Glaze book............only occasional use/reference to glaze stains....intelligently structured to give a broad firing range to suit all potters!! A great foundation book with many suggestions and ideas to alter colour/opacity etc. Highly recommended

A comprehensive selection of glazes. It's a pity lead glazes have been omitted completely, but, nevertheless, it's one of few books offering wide selection of mid temp glazes.Am busy trying them out.

There are a lot of high temperature porcelain and stoneware glazes 1280-1300 but little in them mid - temp. stone wear range .also some Raku/ soda and raw .... so general covers most areas....
majolica is well covered
seemed quite weighted towards reduction glazes in the high fired range,

but fails to cater for those with electric kilns who wish to fire at mid range stone wear

The Potter's Palette - , with clearer images and a far better format if you are looking for an illustrated first guide to mixing glazes. Especially if your planing on experimenting rather than just following a reciepy
