As an history major searching for a subject for my honors thesis, I stumbled onto Dr. Claey's amazing anthology and discovered John Thelwall in early January. Though I can wish for many years that John Thelwall had a complete works with all The Tribune, his essays, and poetry collected in a set of volumes like Edmund Burke, Dr. Claeys has done an admirable job in synthesizing the best of Thelwall's political work into this one volume. His introduction was instrumental in convincing me to write my thesis on Thelwall and his contributions to intellectual and political thought.
