5.0 out of 5 stars Treasure Chest 17 April 2010
Format:Paperback
This is a lovely thick book of tremendous poems by someone who really understands what it is like to be a child. There's a wide range of poems here from the sad to the funny, from the real to the mythical and a massive range of forms are used in a masterly way. It would make a smashing present for anyone who enjoys poetry, whatever their age. It's divided into short sections such as Dragon and Dinosaur poems and School poems. It's excellent value for money. Poetry is great for parents with only a little time to read to their children.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this book 12 Dec 2013

Easy to read, pick up and get into poetry for half an hour without realizing the time. I bought this book for my son, 9, to find a poem to read for a Lamda exam. I hadn't realized that they were all poems by the same man. It took him 5 minutes to find one that he loved and it was his 5th choice because everyone that he read on opening the book he liked and could relate to. In my opinion that really says a lot for the poet. Excellent. A very good choice.
