Well I missed the reviews of this book and as a result ended up with a useless book. The illustrations are no better than 'Mr Stick Man' cartoon pictures. No help what so ever and all in black and white. The descriptions are so so, but you can still easily get confused. As for pocket size...its 5' by 8' or 210mm 135mm! Not practical unless you know your wild food...in which case use it for the recipes.

Well I expected a pocket guide to be something that I could take out into the field and use, however there is a decided lack of pictures and illustrations in this book, however those that are there are good quality.
There is also no index, so finding the info you want is a challenge at times. Having said that its a good, simple little book for the money.
