Product Description

Synopsis

Following the "Plenty" trilogy, this book contains a collection of the adventures of Tabitha Jute and her motley crew. Xtasca the Cherub and Saskia are just two of the popular characters featured.

From the Back Cover

COLIN GREENLAND – WINNER OF THE ARTHUR C. CLARKE AND BRITISH SF ASSOCIATION AWARDS

THE PLENTY PRINCIPLE

Tabitha Jute is back, in a new excursion to the Galaxy’s weirdest backwater: Umbriel, where day is night, where dreams rise gasping from bubbling wells – where Tabitha must deal with the most bizarre cargo she has ever couriered.

Here, under one cover for the first time, are Colin Greenland’s finest short stories. Alongside the brand new Tabitha Jute novella, 'The Well Wishers', are the author’s encounters with other people’s heroes – Neil Gaiman’s Sandman, Michael Moorcock’s Elric and Bryan Talbot’s RoseWylde, as well as his own equally unsettling creations … like Grandma who really must not be allowed downstairs; obstinate, canine policemen; and the long dead ticket collector at the station with no name.

Greenland’s characters range from the merely colourful to the incandescent. They populate worlds that shift when you blink. And there are more worlds here, squeezed between the covers of this book, than you ever thought possible. Some of them are our own. Some of them may not be.

“Colin Greenland has the kind of mind most writers would kill for. His prose is flexible and dangerous as a rapier, while his stories go for both the head and the heart”
NEIL GAIMAN

Just an average collection, at around the 3.25 mark. A wide variety from fantasy and horror through to a space traveler novella to end, with some mainstream stories in the middle, and a section of work done in other people's worlds, such as Temps and Michael Moorcock's Elric.
