The Pirates of Pompeii is a great book. When I went on holiday to Spain I had to stay out of the sun for a bit, and reading ths book made me want to stay out of the sun for ages. It rocks!
The book is about the friends, who stay with a very rich man called Felix. Then they find out that somebody is kindapping children and Flavia , Jonathan, Nubia and Lupus set out to discover who!
I really enjoyed the third set of entertaining magic, the third Roman Mystery. If you read it, you'll want to read more!

An action, adventure story awesomely told.
As with Caroline Lawrence's other stories, I couldn't put the book down, and kept reading until the end.
I like this book so much because of the way the story is told. I felt as if I was a part of the excitement.
Set in ancient Rome, four children must discover who has been kidnapping children after the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. Suddenly, they find themselves in a world of slavery, misery, and hardship after being kidnapped by the slavers themselves!
Could the mastermind of the whole thing be the Patron, an extremely powerful person who is the Emperor Titus` friend? Or is the real criminal a different ill wisher?
Definitely a book action lovers must read!

I have given The Pirates Of Pompeii five full stars because it is a very good action packet mystery story. In Pirates Of Pompeii you have a few mysteries to work out, such as who took the children and were has Nubia gone.
The main characters in The Pirates Of Pompeii are Flavia, Jonathan, Nubia and Lupus. It is set in ancient Rome.
Flavia, Jonathan, Nubia and Lupus like to explore, when they explore they always find a mystery, then they try to find out who is behind the mystery. There are other characters in the Pirates Of Pompeii such as Pulchra, Leda, Felix, Polla and the slave dealer. Flavia’s father is a sea captain, Jonathan’s father is a doctor, Nubia does not have a family, Lupus does not have a family ether, but Lupus got his tongue cut off and there is a clue in The Pirates Of Pompeii, when Lupus cut the top of the slave dealers ear and he tried to kill the slave dealer. The pirates capture the children and keep them in a cave.
The Pirates Of Pompeii was one of the best books I have read and I think everyone would enjoy it because it has so many exciting adventures ahead and you never know how they solve all the mysteries unless you have read it.
All people from the age of six to an adult would be able to read The Pirates Of Pompeii.
