5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent fairy tale adventure with map 27 July 2007
I can't recommend this fairy tale adventure with a map too much. Mixes familiar Fairytale stories with a Pirate tale. Our four-year-old loves it and I'd guess it'd work for kids up to, maybe, eight.

3.0 out of 5 stars If buying used copy may not contain map! 20 Jun 2013
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
Dissapointed with this as I bought it as used item from World of Books and it did not contain the map which is a major aspect of the book. It is still an enjoyable story but I wanted it specifically because of the map for an educational project , so beware if you buy a used copy it might not have one & sellers don't necessarily state this on the condition description.

Very popular book with young grandchild obsessed with pirates. Lots of fun; not too many words to a page and makes a good bedtime story.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fine pick for grades 2-4. 4 Feb 2007
By Midwest Book Review - Published on
Kids ages 4-8 will find intriguing the cartoon-style of drawing paired with a lively treasure hunt plot in PIRATE TREASURE MAP: A FAIRYTALE ADVENTURE. A zany sailor who loves mac and cheese grub and tankards of dandelion invites his nephew on a treasure hunt - with fun results. Even reluctant readers will be motivated by the easy format and vivid adventures, making it a fine pick for grades 2-4.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story for little boys 2 July 2012
By Jen Garza - Published on
I borrowed this book from the library, because my 5 year old loves pirates. I didn't know that there is a pirate map inside, but my little man knew! The story is very cute, and has a little bit of suspense at the end of the story. It is a great book to read out loud. You might want to practice on your pirate speaking skills before you read this book out loud, though!
