Review

"* "For a child, it's a delirious formula... satisfyingly clean drawing style, even the same hilarious freak-out page where the pigeon just can't take it any more." The New York Times * "This brilliant story... manages to be beautiful to look at and funny to read, as well as requiring active audience participation." The Guardian on Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!"

Product Description

A second hilarious picture book featuring the pigeon, by the author of "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!" and "Time to Pee!" The pigeon's back! When the pigeon discovers a delicious hot dog, he can hardly wait to shove the entire thing in his beak. But then a hungry, clever little duckling enters the scene and wants a bite. Will he manage to outsmart the pigeon, and get his share of the hot dog? Oh, yes.

What luck! 27 July 2004
Format:Hardcover
Poor Pigeon. He has the good fortune of finding a hotdog. It's just sitting there. So what's the problem? (Special guest star) Little Duckling won't give Pigeon a moment's peace to eat the hotdog. "Does it taste like chicken?" Duckling asks. The discussion escalates until it is finally resolved with a happy ending and a fairly understated lesson. Mo Willems' lively pastel colored drawings are simple but still expressive. A thoroughly enjoyable, excellent book. Karen Woodworth-Roman

simply brilliant!! 2 Sep 2009
Format:Paperback
I bought this book for my sons 5th birthday and it very quickly became his favourite - and he has quite a substantial collection! He never fails to laugh out loud every time we sit down to read it (although that may be my attempt at a New York accent he's laughing at :-D) seriously though it really is a hugely entertaining read and the illustrations are simple yet brilliant..check out the facial expressions on the adorable pigeon. Don't hesitate to buy this one as it won't fail to appeal to your children, oh and check out 'Don't let the pigeon drive the bus' by the same author. 5 STAR!!!

Highly recommend it 17 Nov 2009
Format:Paperback
It isn't big on words (so its a quick read before bedtime which is always useful) but it's comical and fun. Not for people who don't intonate when they read.
