When I saw the title and the size of the book it eluded to a book that is more reference than teaching. (correct?) When the title says The Photographers Field Guide, you would get the impression that this book would touch on color correction? Light stops? Talk about Balancing light color (Magenta and X gives Y). Different general filters and how to use them?
I was really surprised that this book was more about teaching rather than a true reference. I found that I was aware of the things it talked about (and I am no pro).
If you are looking for a book that touches lightly on light (quality and direction) and some about travel photography (not enough in my opinion) then you would find this book useful.
For those of you expecting a true reference to general photography things that you would need in the field than its not this book.
