I bought this on a whim at a work book event because it was quite cheap and I was interested to see how many uses they could find for a humble pot of cream cheese. As it turned out, I was most impressed - the recipes are simple and easy to follow, with minimal ingredients. In fact, if you have a tub or two of Philadelphia Light in your fridge and some pasta in the cupboard, you are halfway there. I rustled up a healthy, tasty meal in minutes. Thoroughly recommended!

A very useful book covering many dishes from starters to deserts.
The photography is good, it's one recipe per page with a large photo on the facing page. The ingredient list is minimal, ie, no long shopping list of ingredients, and the techniques are straight forward and simple.
I made the fish cakes which we all loved. I actually purchased this book for my 16 year old daughter as a stepping stone beyond children's cookbooks (fairy cakes, cookies, etc) since I'd heard that it was simple and straight forward. I also purchased a copy for my 22 year old daughter to try to move her beyond ready meals and 'bug it in the oven and heat it' food, and I think that this book delivers, at least it has done for us.

I bought this book from a book club at work, as it was fairly cheap and the recipes looked good.
Most of the recipes are very easy to follow, and the ingredients lists are not very long either (I hate recipes with a page long ingredients list!).
I can particularly recommend the pork and mushroom stroganoff, which is lovely and very very easy to make.

Great book
This book contains very easy recipes to follow, the recipes are quite basic and most people will have ingredients in cupboards already. The recipes are also very tasty
