Why on earth we can never get the EXACT, ORIGINAL version of the songs or music that were played on TV? Why publisher(s) of these items would even put out products like this which allows another orchestra/group and not the original group to play the popular theme? Worst of all, those big band type of music arrangements totally ruined the beautiful tunes. I bought this "The Persuaders & Other Top 70's" CD mainly because of the theme from "The Persuaders." The TV version is extremely beautiful and sensational, but this CD version is simply AWFUL!!! I will just have to do my own recording directly from the DVD of the drama, and throw away this CD!

If you are searchin' for the original themes, don't buy this double cd's set (it contains cover from the same years of the originals).
But if you like rarities, if you are in (fetish) love with "The Persuaders" and/or other series in this collection, or simply if you want to spend some hours with old, good easy listening music, I think you can enjoy this anthology.

This album really disappointed. Where are the original recordings ? I don't want to listen to something that sounds like it's being played on an organ in a village hall to keep the OAPs entertained.

The tracks may not be the original versions as heard on TV, but the are well produced and it's an enjoyable album
