Bill Burke visited many of the locations mentioned in his story, and he thoroughly enjoyed residing in Persia with his wife before the advent of the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini Islamic Revolution and the subsequent downfall of the Shah.
Bill Burke is a retired corporate executive and a freelance writer. He lived and worked in France for one and one-half years during the 1950s while in the U.S. military, and in Iran for one year during the 1970s while working for an American private sector firm. A seasoned traveler, he has visited 51 countries and all 50 states. The author earned Associate in Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Master of Business Administration degrees.
Mister Burke’s published works include three non-fiction books: Adventures in the Middle East, Near East, and North Africa (Publish America, 2004), Odyssey from Iran (Publish America, 2007), and My Army Days: Hup, Toop, Threep, Fourp! (Publish America, 2009).
