5.0 out of 5 stars A must-read for those plagued by this curse 12 May 2013
By AnnH - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book has been a huge help to me personally in dealing with this problem that has dogged my career since my late teens. It has robbed me of the enjoyment is should feel from my art but now finally, I am starting to find wonderment in it again. A truly wonderful guide and workbook.

5.0 out of 5 stars I completely disagree 11 July 2007
By whoopsiedoop - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I feel just the opposite about almost everything the other reviewer felt -- advice for general anxiety and phobia is mostly useless when applied to the arts. And, if all it took was "See yourself by a beautiful, relaxing stream" or even "You're doing great on stage! You're a regular Pavarotti!" I could go to any new age store or my mom. I love the way Maisel does masterfully relate many cognitive therapy terms to the arts -- I have a lot of trouble doing that myself and it's just as great when applied to my problems as it seems to be for more run of the mill stuff that others have found useful in it.
