Product Description

The People of Sparks picks up where The City of Ember leaves off. Lina and Doon have emerged from the underground city to the exciting new world above, and it isn't long before they are followed by the other inhabitants of Ember. The Emberites soon come across a town where they are welcomed, fed, and given places to sleep. But the town's resources are limited and it isn't long before resentment begins to grow between the two groups. I loved Ember and I loved Sparks too. Lina's back with all her classmates still searching for the city of her dreams. There are some great new characters like Torren and Tick and new puzzles for Lina as the Emberites struggle to understand the world outside. So pick up this book and start reading. I can't wait for the next one in the series.

This book is so infuriating at times, like when the citizens of Ember become so flustered over things that the reader recognises and understand; such as a lightbulb and is as brilliant as the first one. Definitely read the series and read this one if you've read 'The City of Ember'. Can't wait for the next.
