Product Description

Following on from the People Traders, this story meets the same Trafficker who purchased and sold Karen Marshall. He desperately needs money, and hit's on a brilliant idea to abduct, not just a one English girl, but five girls in one go! The plan had given him at least ten days in which no one would know the girls are missing and by then the trail would be cold. Every one of these girls has been carefully selected, perfect for his clients, with a potential sale value of over a quarter of a million dollars.

But the trafficker had not realised just how bigger outrage he would generate, particularly after the episode with Karen who'd escaped from her purchaser and created havoc. However, for him there was no turning back, arrangements had been made, carriers already paid, so the abductions go ahead.

This is a fast paced story that will keep you on the edge of your seat, as the race against time to rescue these girls gets under way. But the search is centered around a country locked in civil war and indifferent to the girls plight. Every step of the way, for the rescuers looking for the girls, risks panic by any one of the buyers, who maybe, after reading one of the girls had been found, might panic and kill the girl he purchased, to avoid being caught with her...

This is the follow up to The People Traders and chronicles Karen Marshall's return to the Lebanon to rescue another group of girls who have been abducted. It also gives her the opportunity to elicit some revenge on those who had been involved in her own kidnapping.

Despite sketchy references being made to previous events, it is necessary to have read 'The People Traders' beforehand to be able to completely follow the fundamental story.

I had found 'The People Traders' a reasonably acceptable story despite its various shortcomings so was encouraged to follow through with this sequel.

However, not only did the extremely poor punctuation, formatting, grammar etc continue through into 'The People Trafficker' making it a very hard read, the story was poorly written, stilted and even became way beyond the realms of fiction. Naturally, I appreciate this is supposed to be fiction but the whole topic of human trafficking deserves to be dealt with in a more realistic style to help raise awareness of this subject in a better manner.

I do not normally like to leave a book unfinished so did force myself to reach the end hoping for an improvement which never came to fruition.

In spite of it being priced at under £[], I would still advise buying something else!

I read People Trader first and thought it was OK, a fast read, although I found it hard to identify with the character as many of her reactions and emotions didn't ring true. I couldn't finish this book, I just found it too patronising and the style set my teeth on edge. A shame as I was hoping it would surpass its predecessor.

If you have never read Keith Hoare before, DON'T BUY THIS BOOK FIRST. BUY PEOPLE TRADERS FIRST and read that before you read this as it's basically part two of People Traders and tells return of Karen to the Lebanon to rescue more girls and to wreak vengeance on her captors from the first book. It's an easy read and you need to not mind having things explained in great obvious detail. However, I enjoyed it - not least because it was a cheap kindle download.
