Bought this for my friend who had lost her copy. This was the first time I have bought anything 2nd hand, so I was a bit concerned I had done the right thing. No worries - yes it was obviously used but nothing wrong with it. - I'll certainly go second hand again. ......... and oh yes, she was extremely delighted to receive a replacement of a well loved book.

I bought this book way back in the late seventies whilst on holiday in Portsmouth, England with the intention of getting carols from it for singing within the family circle at Christmas time. It is a very scholarly work whereby each carol is scored for at least four voices and sometimes there is also a descant/trumpet line. I never used it for my initial intended purpose but is the source from which I was inspired to do "Away in a manger" with two penny whistles with the Klingende Runde für jung und alt at a Christmas concert in Meyenburg, Germany.
