AMAZON KINDLE "TOP 100" BESTSELLER IN "MYSTERY & THRILLERS"

Three children with extraordinary gifts.

Two detectives trying to solve a five-year-old case.

One man in a mental institute who ties them all together.

Detective Samantha Banter is assigned a cold case involving the murder of a seven-year-old boy.

Sam's daughter, Maryann, is quiet and withdrawn. She befriends Thomas and Christopher, who, like her, have a secret--gifts that are a result of traumatic episodes in their pasts.

Clarence Hynes has been locked up in the mental institute for a crime he committed two years ago. Clarence, however, is burdened with something far worse.

Can Sam find the young boy's killer? Will Maryann, Thomas, and Christopher share their secret? How does Clarence link them all together?

The Paperboys Club is a supernatural thriller with twists and turns that lead to a shocking conclusion.

approx. 65,000 words

4.0 out of 5 stars The Paperboys Club by Mobashar Qureshi 31 Oct 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
A murder mystery with supernatural elements. A very enjoyable read, and a quick read, because once I had started I didn't want to put it down. I thought the characters were well written, my only criticism would be that I thought the last scenes seemed a bit rushed. I will definitely look out for other work by this author.

3.0 out of 5 stars Paperboy's Club 29 Oct 2011

A crime thriller, with supernatural elements and a touch of humour - this book was an enjoyable and entertaining read. There may be some aspects of the writing style that could be improved; this in no way detracts, however, from the characterisation and storyline, which are both very good. This book shows a lot of promise and hopefully there will be a sequel; in any case I'm looking forward to reading some of his other work.

I received this ebook free from librarything as a giveaway for October 2011.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Compelling Psychological Thriller 9 Jan 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I've read and enjoyed both of Mobashar Qureshi's previous novels - 'R.A.C.E.' and 'The October Five' . One thing about this ambitious writer is he chooses not to repeat himself from novel to novel. Here, he uses a multi-protagonist story told from the point of view of three compelling characters; a female police detective, her 'gifted' daughter and a psych patient whose powers cause him great mental and physical anguish. The plot weaves these disparate elements together in a rich narrative about familial love, an innocence lost but regained and the tragedy that befalls certain individuals despite society's efforts to 'fix them'. Add to that a great cold case murder mystery and you have the ingredients of a satisfying thriller. Looking forward to more great stories from this talented novelist.
