Obviously, paper jewellery is not to everyone's taste.
I bought the book because I like origami, and was interested in whether I could make jewellery for my mother and sister.
My sister liked a fold-up brooch, but didn't like most of what was in the book. She said what was on the cover which I thought was quite classy would feel as if you were wearing a large folded paper tablecloth or something. To be fair, some of the pictures do look like young women wearing bits of folded paper.
My Mum said that the designs were of a style for young people, and also perhaps before they had bought the type of jewelry that my Mum owns now. (i.e. I'm not sure if I want to wear paper jewelry now that I have my diamonds thank you).
So I showed the book to two of my female friends, and they liked the folding earning/brooches and I got rid of the cover item to Rebekah. I haven't been able to shift the rest of the items in the book, although the items might be suitable for a very young girl.
Overall, I would expect to get two pairs of earrings and two brooches out of buying it, and possibly what's on the cover, and the rest will probably not be acceptable to the types of stylish women I know.
Kind regards,
David
