Biography

Set for release in July 2010, “The Panic Broadcast” showcases a newly energized SOILWORK, steering clear of all conventions and, as “Speed” eloquently put it, fully embracing the “bigger than life” ethos. Everything on this eighth album is indeed bigger, better and stronger, from the massive real-life production courtesy of Peter Wichers and Jens Bogren, to ... Read more in Amazon's Soilwork Store

It's a very good come back from the former album "Sworn to a great divide", not a memorable chapter of the Soilwork saga.
Some fresh ideas to the table and a great performance from the swedish masters make this an album to have in your collectiom, for sure.

Production is on high level here.

My only complain is Strid should use more clean vocals, he has a great voice and he should balance more to cleans than screaming.

my vote is 7,5/10

superb as always, one of the most under rated bands, but I like it that way. This album is just amazing from beginning to end.

I think its safe to say that soilwork are one of the great consistent metal bands these days, each album seems to be as good as the last and while some may argue that they dont always better the album before , they certainly dont harm their well respected name.
This album is certainly heavier than some of their past releases but the quality remains, the melodies flow thick and fast but there is certainly a bit more venom attached to the swedish metal icons these days.
There was a time when soilwork came a mile and half behind in flames, these days , that isnt the case, a corking, nasty, charming album and then some.
